You're as dark and morbid as a rainbow’s shadow, a hue that defies existence, yet here you are— cloaked in the glow of your own deceit, the dim echo of something meant to be pure. What lies in your violet depths? What secrets curl like smoke beneath your red? I want to beat you senseless, drag you from the shadows of your hues to where light burns away lies— to shatter the illusion, to see if black lurks beneath your green. Tell me, where does your darkness sleep? Does it nest in the golden gleam of your smile, or hide behind laughter that drips like honey from your lips? I see it— the way your joy is a trap, a trick of the prism. You twist my mind into knots with brightness so sharp it cuts. I want to strip the blues and greens from your skin, until all that's left is raw shadow, the truth bared and bruised— a naked shade. But maybe that’s why I’m drawn to you— to that darkness only rain reveals. For I, too, am the shadow of something bright, a splinter of light cast out. Perhaps we’re the same, you and I— both monsters of colour, both shadows, dancing where rainbows die.
