An inversion of the soul, a world turned upside down, a feeling that spirals beyond control. Extreme sorrow, a weight no one can bear, an ache that leaves us gasping for air. The colours of autumn fade to ashen grey, grieving, agonizing through each fading day. The sky above, wrong and disturbed, a despondent landscape where we're perturbed. We weep and wail under the weight of our pain, trying in vain to untangle the knots in our brain. Yet sadness clings, a shadow we can’t outrun, our world still twisted when all’s said and done. Joyful laughter, those carefree days— now distant memories, blurred in a haze. Our hobbies, our sports, our distractions so sweet, are mere band-aids on wounds we can't treat. We stare at the world with a square eye, seeing everything inverted as we struggle to get by. Our umbrella, our shield from despair’s rain, a surreal object—our solace in pain. Vitality drained, emotions turned cold, we shoulder the sorrow, paying the soul’s toll. Yet somehow, we find satisfaction in the small— contentment within the dark, a reason to stand tall. So if you find yourself flipped and feeling wrong, remember, solace hides in the beauty of the long: open skies, the grass beneath your feet, the pulse of nature—a heartbeat to keep.
