Time has gone, the moments we cherished now shadows on the wall. I fear to change, to let go of what once felt so sure. To lose you forever, it would break me apart— a fracture so deep, it would swallow my heart. To take my life and end it now, what a waste, they might say— but here in this darkness, it feels like the only way. A single step, a final breath, a plunge into silence, away from this mess. Yet still, I hesitate, caught in this place between wanting to escape and fearing the space left behind if I go, if I let myself fall. Would I regret it, or would it feel like release after all? But oh, to lose you, to slip away alone— is there no other way to find my way home? For love that once burned bright has dimmed, and now I'm lost in the shadows again. If I stay, will you hold me or will you drift away? If I go, will it matter, or is this just another day? These thoughts are heavy, these nights are long— a haunting refrain, a melancholic song. But what if there’s something beyond this despair? What if there’s light hidden somewhere? A whisper, a promise, a thread to hold tight, a reason to live through one more night. For to take my life would be to waste the chance to see another day. And though it feels like the only right, maybe there's hope somewhere in this fight. So, I'll stay here, for now, in this place of pain, waiting for the clouds to break, for the rain to clear and reveal a sky so wide that I might find a reason to stay alive.
