I’m Richard George Davis — a brand strategist, full-stack product designer, developer, digital artist, and poet.
This site is where I write through the work beneath the surface: brand, attention, creativity, software, AI, systems, audience behaviour, and the strange pressure modern platforms place on how we think, make, and communicate.
Some pieces start with strategy. Some start with design. Some begin in poetry, sound, or the uneasy feeling that the obvious answer is probably hiding the better one.
The common thread is clarity.
Not the sterile kind. The useful kind.
The kind that helps you name the problem properly, question vague assumptions, make better decisions, and turn complexity into something you can actually work with.
What this site is
rgd.cx brings together essays, notes, frameworks, creative reflections, practical resources, poetry, short fiction, and route guidance for the wider RGD ecosystem.
It is not only a writing archive and not only a resource shop. It is a working surface for clearer language, better judgement, creative strategy, literary attention, and the human side of working with technology.
Expect pieces that sit cleanly as articles, resources, poems, or stories — and occasional pieces that blur the line between article, poem, and signal flare.
What I make
- Articles and notes for clearer thinking around brand, attention, creativity, software, AI, systems, audience behaviour, and modern work.
- Resources, prompts, checklists, and structured references that help turn vague advice into usable next steps.
- Poetry and short fiction that hold image, pressure, atmosphere, contradiction, and feeling.
- Brand, website, product, and documentation systems for people who need complex material made more legible.
- Visual art, music, prototypes, and experiments that carry the more atmospheric side of the same practice.
How the parts connect
Articles clarify the idea. Resources help you apply it. Work applies the same thinking to real projects. Poetry and stories keep the language close to pressure, image, and consequence. Art and music carry the visual and sonic atmosphere around the work.
The forms change, but the standard does not: make something precise enough to feel true and useful enough to keep.
Work and collaboration
I help clients launch or modernise brands, sites, and systems end to end: discovery, strategy, messaging, design systems, website build, launch, analytics, SEO, performance, and ongoing care where useful.
The work is strongest when the problem is not simply “make it look better”, but “make this easier to understand, trust, use, decide from, or build on”.
Good fit: founders, creative teams, consultants, publishers, artists, and organisations with complex material that needs sharper language, structure, and digital execution.
Not a fit: purely decorative work, logo-only requests, or vague “make it pop” briefs with no access to the real decision-maker or source material.
Creative context
Creativity is not confined to a single medium here. Art, design, poetry, music, software, and strategy keep feeding one another.
The visual and sonic work explores atmosphere, memory, symbolism, and the liminal space where reality and imagination blur. The professional work uses a more practical discipline: narrative-first strategy, clearer systems, and digital spaces that help people understand and act.
Selected context from the wider practice includes international digital-art exhibition history, set-design usage, visual storytelling, brand strategy, digital design, poetry, and music.
