A dark poem of achieve, greatness, and need, holding fear, fracture and survival in view.
February 29, 2004Early Notebooks
To achieve greatness, love is all we need,
a simple truth, a powerful creed.
Through every hardship, through every fight,
it's your love that guides me through the night.
To accomplish anything, to see dreams unfold,
it’s your strength, your heart, your hand I hold.
You’ve carried me through my darkest days,
turning shadows into brighter rays.
All the pain, the struggles we’ve known,
felt lighter because I wasn’t alone.
Your love is the anchor, the fire, the light,
that pushes me forward, that makes it all right.
So here’s to you, the love that I keep,
the reason I rise, the reason I leap.
For with you beside me, there’s nothing to fear,
together we conquer, year after year.
