A dark poem of quench, thirst, and untold, holding fear, fracture and survival in view.
February 15, 2004Early Notebooks
You quench my hunger with a thirst untold,
a craving for companionship that never grows old.
An outlet for unfolded love, untamed and wild,
a fantasy blooming in the sweetness of a honey child.
Preach me your fire, let it burn in my veins,
let the rhythm of us wash away all pains.
Ease my soul with your touch so bold,
a passion that ignites in the smoky cold.
Let me do right by you, beneath the smoking wind,
holding tight as the storm begins.
Untie the downhill rider, set my heart free,
paint my world with the colours of your heartbeat's decree.
Open the wild hammering deep in my chest,
a pulse that won't settle, a love never at rest.
For in your embrace, I find my release,
a hunger that’s sated, a moment of peace.
