A dark poem of fleeting, breeze, and tells, holding fear, fracture and survival in view.
April 17, 2004Early Notebooks
She comes and goes, a fleeting breeze,
she tells me to stay, then leaves with ease.
She plays to go, a game of delight,
she shouts out loud, fades into the night.
She feels the emptiness, the hollow within,
a dance of shadows where love begins.
My loving, my rhythm, my heart, my beat,
the pulse of my world, a bittersweet feat.
My money, my hate, the cost of my pride,
my music, my life, the chaos inside.
She takes what she wants, leaves me torn,
a storm in my soul, a love reborn.
Yet still, I cling to the song she sings,
a melody of heartbreak that stings and clings.
For she comes and goes, a wave, a tide,
my muse, my torment, forever denied.
