Digging deeper, carrying the load longer, the weight grows heavy, though I thought I was stronger. The more I do, the more I strain— I look around, but nothing remains. The less I look around, the more I fade, into the shadows that hard work has made. The less I see, the more nothing is, a hollow echo where purpose once lived. Each day I dig, further below, a path that narrows, where dreams don’t grow. I carry the weight, the burden of strive, but somewhere along, I forgot to thrive. Digging deeper, the light grows dim, I can't recall why I started, or when. I’ve lost the will to pause, to see— the world outside, what it means to be free. I’m caught in a loop, a cycle of strain, the harder I push, the less I gain. The deeper I dig, the darker it gets, the more I forget, the more I regret. So here I am, with this load I bear, wondering if anyone’s truly aware— of how the deeper I dig, the less I find, that all I’ve lost is a piece of my mind. The less I want, the more I ignore, the world outside, the open door. Digging deeper, I've lost my way— maybe tomorrow, maybe someday. But for now, I carry on, head down, lost in this hole, far from town. The more I do, the less I care, until nothing is left, just an empty stare.
