Be flowing still, my beating heart, arched and aching, tearing apart. A squelching pain festers within, save me now, let the healing begin. Save me from the fire that churns, I’m starving for moments, for your return. Closer to truth, my pulse quickens its race, reaching for you, a desperate embrace. You take all of me, swallow me whole, consume my spirit, devour my soul. We come together, a fevered rush, but tell me now, what’s the next hush? What are you looking for, what will you do? I’m lost in your gaze, but are you lost too? Will you lift me up or drag me down? Will you be my wings or watch me drown? A heart still beating, caught in your sway, pleading for you, don’t turn away. For in this moment, with bated breath, I seek salvation or a lover’s death.
