Kill me plain, seal me tight in your jar, a little keepsake to show off, to mar. Spin me 'round—up becomes down, I'm dizzy in this maze where I drown. I can’t tell the difference; everything blurs, up is this way, or maybe it's hers. Caught in the spiral, I lose my way, tell me, love, will you rescue me today? Rescue me from the fears that consume, from shadows that fester in this room. I want to give you love, raw and pure, but these demons inside make it so unsure. I feel like a specimen, trapped and displayed, a soul in a jar, silently frayed. You hold me close, but I slip through your grasp, lost in a labyrinth where love doesn’t last. Take me apart, piece by piece, pull me from this torment, grant me release. For all I want is to love and be loved, to find a peace that I’ve only dreamed of. But how can I give what’s buried so deep, when my own fears haunt me in sleep? I’m reaching out, though my hands shake, hoping your love can fix what might break. So here I am, exposed and bare, take me as I am, if you truly dare. Kill me plain or set me free, all I ask is that you see— the tangled mess that makes up me.
