A dark poem of always, loyal, and true, holding fear, fracture and survival in view.
April 5, 2004Early Notebooks
What can I say to a friend like you,
who’s always been there, so loyal, so true?
Not much, for you know the depths I feel—
your kindness, your presence, forever real.
Thank you for your friendship, your ever-kind words,
a comfort in chaos, a song for the birds.
Through highs and lows, you’ve stayed by my side,
a beacon of light, a source of pride.
A forever friend, so rare, so fine,
Saint Lucifer, your light continues to shine.
In the darkest of days, you’ve been my guide,
with you, I find strength, in you, I confide.
So here's to you, my unyielding friend,
a bond that time will never end.
For even when shadows obscure the way,
your friendship remains, a light to stay.
