Blue satin transposed against the brilliance of tropical winds—colouring my daydreams, etching my thoughts in hues so vivid they burn into the mind, a whisper of freedom seldom seen, a fleeting promise on borrowed time. A remarkable feeling of health restored, yet the oddities of war linger on the shore. Character flaws that set us free— are they curses or blessings, or both simultaneously? The men of grief seldom see the purpose of dying youth, a tragedy to be told and retold, yet never learned, to come second, ruler of nothing but ashes burned. Spirit of freedom—does it make us wise or simply numb to the cost of our lives? Excessive lust, a feast for the socially inept, a ravenous meal where none are adept at savoring what truly fills the soul. Instead, we gorge on illusions that never make us whole. The freak show unfolds— a spectacle to hide the bitter end. The curtain rises, the lights dim low, and the actors pretend not to know that all this is just a dance on borrowed time, a charade to keep us from seeing the signs. Showers of light, a kaleidoscope of futures, flicker and fade as the pain seeps through. For what is freedom but another lie we chase, a siren song that leads us to this place where excess and hunger collide, where the spirit is free, but the soul has died. We, the dreamers, the men of grief, seek purpose in places where there's no relief. The tropical winds may colour our dreams, but we are bound by far darker schemes. For even as we dance beneath the lights, we know the truth is hidden in the night. The pain remains, a shadow we cannot shed— a ghostly whisper, the fear we dread. Freedom may call, but seldom does it stay, leaving us grasping as it slips away. So let the blue satin drape over our eyes, let the tropical winds carry our sighs. For in this fleeting dream of brilliance bright, we are all just actors, lost in the night.
