The feeling to leave isn’t strong, but still, I know I must go. To leave is to lift a burden, a weight I can no longer tow. The responsibility feels older than my years, I’m too young to be consumed by these fears. I’ve been holding on, believing it was my duty to stay, to you, to myself, to not drift away. But I’m torn between the love I hold so dear and the need to find a path that’s clear. I do not wish to break us, to tear us apart— it’s not a lack of love, it’s the heaviness in my heart. This torment, this decision, has left me torn, but I need to breathe, to be reborn. Moving out doesn’t mean moving on; it’s not an escape, it’s a chance to belong to myself again, to feel light and free, to explore who I am, who I need to be. It’s not about wanting to run away from you, it’s about reclaiming the parts of me that are true. I love you, I do, but I feel so weighed, like I’ve lost sight of the person I’ve made. Sometimes, I feel overburdened, lost in the tide, not sure of what I want, or where I want to reside. I hope you can understand, and not feel betrayed, for in this choice, I hope we both find a way. I need time to breathe, to live, to explore— but that doesn’t mean I’ll love you any less, I swore. I just need a space where I can be, where I can unravel and still keep you close to me. So, please, don’t see my leaving as a goodbye, but rather a way for both of us to fly. To love each other in ways that won’t bind, to keep the connection, but also be kind to ourselves, to our hearts, to the lives we lead— a chance to grow, to plant a new seed.
