They say he walked into the shop, a place where mirrors never stopped. He met a man with silver hands, who sold him something few demand. "You want to leave without a trace? No shadows left, no lines, no face? I have a trade," the merchant grinned, "Give up yourself—just shed your skin." A flicker, a shift, a silent vow, his face was there, and then… not now. He turned to see but found no frame, his body walked, but no one came. Did he fade away, or was he set free? Was he still himself, or just a memory? I left myself in silver glass, now no one sees, no shadows cast. I walk unseen, I drift alone, but was I real before I’d gone? At first, the silence felt so kind— no eyes, no weight, no ties to bind. He passed unseen through every door, but saw no smiles, no gazes warm. The world moved on, the crowds still swayed, but he remained—a ghost unfazed. No proof he was, no proof he’d been, just space where someone once had been. "You were never here," the mirror sneered. "You were only seen, but never feared." A trade once made can’t be undone— you sold yourself, and now there’s none. I left myself in silver glass, but now I long for what has passed. No shadow walks where I have been, no eyes to see, no face, no skin. (Shatter.)
