Last night, I met myself, Standing in the neon glow. He looked just like me, but older, Like he’d seen things I should know. Was he a ghost, a past regret? A thought I left out in the cold? Or just a dream that drifted loose, Too weightless to hold? He asked me, "Did you waste your time?" And suddenly, my hands felt tied. I laughed and said, "No, of course not." But he just smiled. And didn’t believe me.
