Pant, gasp, wheeze— he drags himself over the last white lip of mountain. Puff. Puff. At the summit he plants his boots, points up, and calls out to the great god. The sky opens. A great hand descends— larger than the peak, one finger wide enough to blot out the sun. Thunk. Down he goes: all boots, elbows, panic, and sky. From above: *Goddess.*
