Is there someplace I should be— a corner of the world where my heart might find its beat again? I turn toward home, but hope slips through the cracks; the walls whisper secrets I no longer understand. And still, there’s nowhere to go, no refuge to cradle these restless bones. The roads stretch like veins, carrying me further from where I thought I belonged, leading only to empty rooms echoing with absence. Is there something I should feel— a call to the sea, a longing as the sun bleeds into the horizon? The waves rise and fall like a lover’s breath in the dark, but even they seem tired of whispering my name. Oh no!— this ache that swells like a storm in my chest, this silence clinging like salt on my skin. I search the fading light for answers, but dusk keeps its secrets, and still, I am nowhere but here.
