Run and hide—lessons learned on the highway, as the curb rises on my shoulder, a sudden swerve, a narrow miss, no money seen in the poor man's hands, debating alone, sitting on the railway line, waiting for a train that never comes. Down by the water, time feels like a trend that ebbs and flows but never ends. Pale and tight, I lose myself in discovering secrets buried in the sand— moments shared in the setting sun, soft-spoken words drifting near and far, echoes carried on the wind. Stumbling movements beneath a melting blue sky, everywhere with us, never far, always at home in the spaces we shared. Faces emerge from the rain, strangers once, but now they’re forever there— inside and out, shadows that linger, remnants of all that we were. Got to listen, to feel where the road turns, where the light fades, where the stories burn. What goes to where, what leads me here? I’m lost in this endless game of hide and seek, with shadows that trail me, secrets I keep. Do I look alright? I ask the sky, I ask the faces that blur and pass by. Am I just another traveler, searching for answers in the fading light, wondering if I’ll ever be alright? The world spins on, a carousel of fleeting trends, and I keep running, hiding, holding onto moments that slip through my hands. For everywhere feels like nowhere when the faces fade, the voices wane, and I’m left asking strangers in the rain— am I alright, or am I just lost again?
