A recorded reading of “Bob and Bill’s Merry Parade”. If the player does not load, use the original audio source.
Bob and Bill do sing a song, a rhythm that carries merrily along. Shifting the crowd with its cheerful gripes, a horde of followers falls into stride. Is it Bob they follow, or is it Bill? Judging their steps as the music spills. No more worries, no troubles to bear, just dancing along without a care. Losing all track of where they had gone, entranced by the sound that urges them on. A handful of men now turns to more, listening to leaders who spin their lore. Step by step, they march in time, to the beat of a tune, both foolish and blind. A song so sweet, it dulls the mind, and leaves all reason far behind. The crowd grows louder, the voices swell, caught in the rhythm, under its spell. But who leads the dance, and where does it end? As Bob and Bill laugh ‘round the bend. For what began as a merry song, has turned into a march gone wrong. Following blindly, they forget the way, entranced by the music that led them astray.
