Do we have faith in our fellow man? Or is it just the slow deformation of our plans? Towering structures rise above, casting shadows long, desolating the past, stripping our wombs of song. Is this history, or merely the illusion of trust? A slow decay of foundations crumbling to dust. The trust we place in the future betrays— an invitation extended to our end’s dismay. What we once were has slowly waned, the deeds are done, yet nothing remains. Forever-changed, day to today, following in footsteps that lead us astray, circling back to the beginning’s curse, trapped in a loop that only gets worse. The trust of one becomes another’s undoing, an open invitation to the darkness brewing. Are we doomed to create where we stand, building our future on quicksand? For in creating, we forge our own chains, and the essence of who we are slowly wanes. To shape our world is to shape our doom, filling our hearts with shadows that loom. The trust we give, the promises we make, all become the cracks through which we break. What is left but a hollow cry, a whispered prayer to an indifferent sky? Do we have faith, or just illusions to grasp, as the future fades into the past? We build, we betray, we repeat the refrain— an endless cycle of self-inflicted pain. Doomed to create and destroy in turn, forever a flame that’s destined to burn.
