A dark poem of within, shimmering, and glow, holding fear, fracture and survival in view.
May 23, 2004Early Notebooks
Behold the light within my hands,
a shimmering glow from unseen lands.
It flickers gently, a dance of grace,
casting warmth on my frozen embrace.
A touch of ice, a searing relief,
melting the layers, unraveling grief.
The pleasure it brings, a caress so soft,
lifts my soul, carrying me aloft.
I move it slowly across my palms,
sliding upward with soothing balms.
The light it brings, the hold so tight,
charming my thoughts, igniting the night.
It traces a path, tapping my wrists,
filling my mind with dreams and twists.
The warmth it spreads, a secret fire,
awakens within me a quiet desire.
What is this glow that captivates so?
A mystic force, a hidden flow.
Charming the imagination, it starts to weave,
a thousand stories, the heart believes.
So let it linger, let it stay,
for in my hands, I wish it lay.
This light, this life, this burning spark,
guiding me forward through the dark.
