Be still, my beating heart— arched beneath the squelch of pain that coils within. Save me from my time to burn— this fever that blisters whenever your shadow draws near. I am starving for moments with you, hungering for a taste of truth only your touch can bring. Closer, closer—the pace quickens, a storm gathering in the pit of my chest. You take all of me, swallow me whole, like a night devouring stars, and I fall willingly into the darkness of your gaze. We collide like comets— but what is it you seek when you reach for my flame? What will you do when I’ve given it all? When my heart is laid bare and the fire burns low— will you leave me as ash to scatter on the wind or take me whole into your blazing night?
