Direct answer
For ordinary answer articles, use Article plus BreadcrumbList. Do not use QAPage unless users can submit alternative answers to one question. FAQ rich results are no longer shown in Google Search, so visible, useful Q&A content matters more than FAQ schema.
How to use it
- Use Article schema for your authored answer article.
- Use BreadcrumbList for site structure.
- Use QAPage only for a genuine single-question page where users can submit answers.
- Do not rely on FAQ rich-result visibility as the strategy.
- Keep all marked-up content visible and representative of the page.
Example
A blog post titled “How do you stop AI from hallucinating?” should use Article + BreadcrumbList. It should not use QAPage unless it is a user-answerable forum-style page.
Caveats and limits
Schema guidance changes. Treat this as current as of June 2026 and verify before building templates into WordPress.
