A dark poem of wrapping, never, and weighed, holding fear, fracture and survival in view.
April 11, 2004Early Notebooks
Wrapping up the romance that’s never been weighed,
a love unmeasured, hidden in shade.
Levitate the desperation, lift it high—
search for the light in a darkened sky.
The untouched whispers, the words unsaid,
lingering shadows where feelings tread.
Reporting the other half that begins to breathe,
a spark in the silence, a hope to believe.
Half of my soul now starts to stir,
the part that’s been quiet, that’s never heard.
A glimpse of light, a flicker of grace,
a longing to find a familiar place.
Unwrap this romance, let it unfold,
break through the walls where secrets are told.
Let desperation transform to something bright,
as we embrace the dawn after a loveless night.
