Following an ebbing flow of hate, cascading through sorrows that fester and wait. A torrent of bile, a current so strong, pulls me under, where shadows belong. Indulging in fumes of empty delight, delirious confusion, an endless night. The list grows longer, the purpose unclear, as I drown in the echoes that no one can hear. Time spans out in hidden waves, a lifetime lost to what the heart craves. Lusting for more than this hollowed shell, a wish for a story where truth can dwell. Yet all I grasp are tales half-told, promises made that have grown so cold. Delusions that twist like smoke in the air, leaving behind nothing but despair. The after-effects linger, a residue of pain, a longing for meaning that never sustains. For the life I lead is a maze of deceit, a journey that circles but never completes. Incessant confusion, a mind torn apart, searching for solace, a new place to start. But the fumes of the past cloud every turn, while the fires of regret continue to burn. What is this life, if not a cruel jest— a craving for more that never finds rest? Telling tales exempt from the truth, lost in the haze of a wasted youth. But still I lust for something real, a touch, a taste that I can feel. Beyond the fumes, beyond the hate, a life where I can finally liberate. Yet for now, I ebb with the flow, lost in the currents I cannot let go. The festering sorrow, the endless chase, a journey to nowhere, a fall from grace.
