Sitting in a pub, questioning my fate, a glass in hand as morals abate. I exchange my virtues for shadows of hate, tempted to dance with the darkness I create. Testing my limits, loosening the chains, letting go the restraints that once kept me sane. Holding on tight to the choice I've made, to dive into freedom where the shadows parade. The addiction of life pulls me in deep, a promise of highs too tempting to keep. The thrill of release, the sweet taste of sin, beckons me closer, inviting me in. In the dim glow, reflections distort, I ponder my values, the battles I've fought. The laughter around me, a symphony wild, calls to the reckless, the lost, the defiled. For what is freedom but a double-edged sword, a chance to be bound or a chance to be floored? I teeter on the brink, glass raised to the sky, embracing the taste of a life lived awry. Is it the taste of rebellion or simply escape? This liquid courage that reshapes my fate? To surrender control, to let go of grace, or to find in the madness my truest embrace? The addiction of life, it fills my veins, a rush of abandon, a loosening of reins. For in this moment, I lose and I gain, a freedom that’s raw, a freedom of pain. Sitting in a pub, questioning my fate, I toast to the night, to the choices I make. Exchanging my morals for passions untamed, I find in the darkness the light that remains.
