A peaceful night’s sleep never felt quite right when I’m not beside you, holding you tight. I long to be the one who listens through, the silent hours, just to be near you. Though I know the dreams may slip away, we’re still together, come night or day. For every whispered word, I meant it true— I’ll keep my promise, I’ll wait for you. Every word I said, I meant forever, a bond so strong that distance can’t sever. I won’t close my eyes until I’ve shown the depth of love that we’ve always known. The only thing I want to do is fall asleep while loving you. For in your arms, I find my peace— a quiet haven, where worries cease. And if the night should fade to dawn, know my love for you goes on and on. For a peaceful sleep, a heart at rest, is found only when I’m with the one I love best.
