A dark night to walk beside my friends, a bright fire flickers, where thoughts ascend. Once we were nothing, then so much more, a tapestry of knowledge, as told before. Beginning afresh, or starting anew, from the void we emerged, just the two. Broadening horizons, accepting our fates, with haste given meaning by the number 28. Pulling at straws to find our kind, a dwindling stack, with time confined. Depleting to double one, a countdown whispered, the mission begun. Timing was crucial, or so they said, a journey mapped by stars ahead. A mission to start, these nomads roam, searching for a place they might call home. Pain and suffering touched us all, echoes of loss, a silent call. Yet we remember, for who they are, those who journeyed, near and far. Being and doing, wherever we may, linked together through night and day. Strung out across the cosmic sea, bridges built where souls roam free.
