Alone, I weep—sit alone, wondering thoughts, like seeds unsown. Aces and spades, the deck in my hand, squares and holes where dreams can’t land. Holding a heart, too fragile to grasp, slipping through fingers, shattering like glass. Tearing wide open, split apart, forever alone, with a fractured heart. Pieces of hope, jagged as knives, poking through wounds that cling to their lives. Striding onward, chasing the goal, knowing what's needed but losing control. The distances grow, darkness expands, moving forward with unsteady hands. The light dims quickly, swallowed whole, a black hole devouring fragments of soul. Hope was a flame I held so tight, now flickers faintly, devoured by night. A fragile thing that breaks when pressed, like a bird’s wing held too close to the chest. Setting sun casts its crimson glow, fields once golden now draped in shadow. The sands of time slip through my grasp, grains of despair in an endless clasp. Swallowing suns with a hungering maw, devouring light, leaving everything raw. Alone, I sit—alone, I weep, thoughts like waves rising from the deep. Stranded, exposed, tearing apart, forever alone, forever at heart. The sun sinks low, the stars refuse to shine, the moon hides behind clouds that entwine. Is there a light beyond this dark sea, or is hope just another lie to deceive me? In the twilight moment, shadows extend, a desperate search for a comforting end. What was it for, this fleeting breath? A march toward an inevitable death. Hope was a thread, now frayed and torn, a promise broken, a soul forlorn. The cards I played, the risks I took— all crumbled to ashes in a withered book. In this desolate field, I stand and stare, waiting for hope, but none is there. Forever changed, day to today, following footsteps that lead me astray. Time is a thief that takes without care, leaving behind echoes of despair. The light dims, swallowed whole, a final embrace from the depths below. Alone, I weep, stranded in time, grasping for meaning, but none I find. What is left but a hollow cry, a whispered prayer to an indifferent sky? The sands keep falling, the sun descends, I watch the light fade, the darkness extends. For in this world where shadows grow, I find no solace, only the undertow.
