Freshman to living, a life on display,
defined by impressions, dictated in ways.
Terms set by others, a script to fulfill,
yet yearning for freedom, a mind of my will.
Indulging in moments, experiences vast,
learning through trial, letting go of the past.
Overlapping truths, layered and thin,
trying to unearth the person within.
A mosaic of selves, pieced together in time,
discovering who I am, one climb at a time.
Stepping through shadows, stepping through light,
fighting to know what is wrong, what is right.
For this life is a journey, a test of the soul,
a quest to be whole, to feel truly whole.
Living defined by impressions once made,
yet finding my path through the choices I’ve laid.
