Adventure time! I’m cooking, let’s go! I’ve got onions to chop and spices to throw! “Hey, where are you all going?!” I shout in dismay— I’m not done yet! You can’t just run away! I’ve barely started, the garlic’s still raw, there’s a half-finished soufflé and a bubbling coleslaw! But wait—what’s this? The carrots are fleeing? The potatoes are rolling, the broccoli’s careening! “Stop right there, you runaway beans!” The pasta’s escaping, slipping through seams! My spatula flips, but no one’s around— even my apron’s untied itself and hit the ground! “Come back! I promise the sauce is divine!” But the pepper shaker dashes—“This seasoning’s mine!” Now even my salt has hopped off the shelf— it’s a full-on mutiny, I’m left by myself! But I won’t give up, I’ll cook till I’m through— even if the whisk has decided to coup. So here I am, alone in my quest, stirring and mixing, giving it my best. Adventure time or not, I’ll finish this feast— even if my guests are now running due east. But hey, if you change your minds and swing back my way, there might be some leftovers... but I can’t say!
