A wrecked home, shattered asunder, steaming low, yet revving like thunder. Stretched too far, pushed overboard— the dreams of youth we could not afford. Longing for days when I was young, a fading wipe, a song unsung. No longer at ease, my spirit aches, a wasted life and all it takes. The pleasures presented, the choices made, yet no temptation could persuade. All was given, all was done, but now the thrill has come undone. The thrill of joy when you're young and free, ends in pain as the years decree. For every high, there comes a cost, a tally of what we gained and lost. Be wary of today, for tomorrow will be— a mirror reflecting what we cannot see. Wondering how you'll weather the years, through laughter, sorrow, and hidden fears. The past is a ghost that lingers near, a whisper of joy turned to a sneer. For every pleasure, a shadow remains, reminding us of our fleeting gains. So pause and consider, before you pursue the tempting mirage that beckons you. For what you seek may not endure— youth is fleeting, but regret is sure. A wrecked home, a fractured soul, stretching too far, losing control. Yet here I stand, amidst the debris, wondering what became of me.
