A collection of coins rattles around, echoes in the void where feelings drown— the emptiness of misplaced emotions set astound against the hollow ground. The divining rods of steel clash and scream, as if seeking answers in a forgotten dream, clashing out their anguish against the fire of the beast that gnashes its teeth in the darkening east. The collective sound shifts, morphs, evolves, as the echoes ricochet off the walls of this ravine where despair flows deep, like the sea moaning through a reefed wreck where lost souls weep. A crackling whip tears through the din, a sudden flash, a strike to the skin— blowing up the ravine with a force untamed, a fury unleashed, a sorrow unnamed. The air thickens, the shadows dance, as the fire and steel continue their stance. Coins rattle like a frantic prayer cast into the well of despair— a wish for release, for something to mend the pieces shattered, the edges bent. But the beast roars on, the fire burns hot, consuming the hopes that time forgot. Blow through the depths, oh winds of night, carry these echoes beyond the fight. For in the clash, the clatter, the scream, there lies a hidden, unspoken dream— to find the stillness beneath the roar, to reach a shore untouched by war. The whip cracks again, a final plea to break the chains that bind so fiercely. The sound shifts once more, a whisper now, a soft refrain, a solemn vow— to gather the coins, the fragments strewn, and forge them into a brighter tune. For even in the depths of despair's ravine, there lies a spark, a light unseen. And though the beast may rage and the fire consume, there’s always a chance for the flowers to bloom.
