Direct answer
A niche Statement of Purpose is a short sentence that defines who the work is for, what problem it helps them solve, why the problem matters and what kind of outcome the niche is organised around. It prevents the niche from becoming only a demographic label.
How to use it
- Name the audience in a way they would recognise.
- Name the problem or tension, not only the category.
- Name the change the work helps create.
- Add a boundary: who it is not for or what it does not do.
- Test whether the sentence can guide content, offer and proof decisions.
Example
Template: “I help [specific audience] solve [specific problem] so they can [meaningful outcome] without [common trade-off].”
Example: “I help creative-sector teams clarify offers and build WordPress sites that support proof, enquiries and ongoing growth without turning strategy into vague decoration.”
Caveats and limits
A Statement of Purpose is not a tagline. It is an internal decision tool that may later produce public-facing copy.
